About Us
Soul Bait started out as a monthly newsletter for the outreach department of Family Christian Center of Clermont, Florida. The name “Soul Bait” came from the scripture in John 4:7-30. It is the story of the woman at the well.
In 2006, God told Pastors Scott and Jennifer Lathrop to step out into their full-time ministry. In 2007, the Lathrops were released from Family Christian Center to go to Jacksonville, Florida, where Soul Bait Ministries launched into full-time service.
There are 3 areas in which Soul Bait Ministries believes it is supposed to work:

Equipping the Body of Christ through preaching, Hearing God’s Voice classes, prophetic evangelism, Dreams & Visions training, and ministry team training.

Healing ministry to the body and soul through personal ministry, as well as teaching & prayer crusades.

Planting & maintaining churches, nationally & internationally. We believe time is short, and we have to help the established church grow in new levels, plant new churches, and take ground back from the enemy. Soul Bait’s desire is to see that we grow into that powerful and loving Bride of Christ, not shrink back like scared little children.
